At The Park

I was down at the park with Thaïs yesterday when I overheard a small group of 5-year-olds fighting, Thaïs included. I don’t know why the fight started — my attention was drawn to them when their little voices rose in anger as they threatened each other.
Boy #1: “I’ll slap your face.”
Boy #2: “I’ll box your stomach.”
Boy #3: “I’ll call my brother. He’s bigger than you. He’s 12 years old.”
Thaïs: “I’ll call my cousin.”
Boy #3 to Thaïs: “Call your cousin. My brother is bigger than your cousin. He’s 25.”
Thaïs: “Oh yeah? That’s what you think. My cousin is bigger. He’s.. 165.”
