Carnival In Goa – 2010

This year it was my daughter who dragged me out to the carnival parade. We had decided not to go coz she was just recovering from a throat infection, but as it turned out, she had plans of her own. So, without further ado, here goes… This post is going to have a LOT of pictures… you have been warned

I’m still trying to figure this guy out.. I’ve heard of revealing outfits, but this one takes the cake..

From a distance, this one looked quite obscene…

Heh!! Whoever he is, he has a sense of humor…

And that was all I managed to get. We left early because ‘someone’ got bored.. Actually, we were quite relieved when she said she’d had enough. The loud music was beginning to give me a headache.

The School Concert

Ok.. The title may be misleading.. This post has pictures of just the dance that Thaïs took part in  All the mermaids backstage.. This was before the concert started, so that should explain why most of them have just half the costume on..

Mermaids singing and dancing… I’ve said before that my daughter is loud.. I think this picture confirms that.. You can actually ‘see’ how much louder she is 

Now the mermaids have moved to the back of the stage so the other sea creatures can get on with it…

Here we are, getting distracted…

Now we’re blatantly chatting on stage.. 

And some of us are getting bored / feeling sleepy..

Getting Ready For The School Concert

Those of you who follow me on Twitter will know that I’ve been tweeting about this for some time now. I’ve spent the last 3 weeks getting Thaïs’ mermaid outfit ready. After numerous trips to the tailor, and several hours bent over double, sticking on sequins and glitter, here’s what she’ll be wearing tomorrow…

She refused to model the outfit for me so that’s the best I could do.And whilst I was busy getting this ready, here’s what the little mermaid herself was up to…

I hope to get pictures of Thaïs actually wearing the outfit tomorrow, but I don’t know whether I’ll be ‘allowed’ to put them up here
