Barbie

My daughter doesn’t normally play with dolls. At the toy store, she generally heads straight for the cars and bikes and such. The only doll she owns is the Barbie doll featured in this post, which was a gift on her 4th birthday. After seeing what she did to it, I’m glad she doesn’t have any others…

Just Another Day

School started about 2 weeks ago. Lil one was pretty excited about the whole thing, being a new school and all that… So far she has no complaints, which is a good thing. Let’s hope it lasts… At the old school, she’d come home everyday with at least one complaint :)

Tried out a new recipe today — Beetroot Cake.

Thaïs took one look at it and said,”Uh-oh… What’s that? Stay away from it everybody!”

Grandma: That’s beetroot cake. Taste it.

Thaïs: No way!

Grandma: Why not?

Thaïs: That’s not cake… Cake is supposed to be chocolate…!

The Last Days Of Summer

Summer’s almost over, much to lil one’s regret… School begins in about a week’s time 😦

She has been having a lot of fun in the pool. She graduated from the kiddie pool to the ‘big’ pool last week. I bought her a kick board two days ago, and now she thinks it’s her license to jump straight into the deep end of the ‘big’ pool.

After spending so much time out in the sun, it’s no wonder that she has a tan!!

Hello Again

Finally got a new broadband connection last week. Would have put up this ‘hello again’ post earlier, but the week has been rather hectic. The little one is just recovering from a viral fever. The only thing she’s happy about is the fact that she has missed a whole week of school.I was planning on making a few changes to this blog, but that was just before I gave up my old internet connection. Seeing as that was over a month ago, I seem to have forgotten most of the changes I wanted to make, so it looks like that’s going to take a little while longer.In the meantime, I shall try to keep up with regular postings…. starting tomorrow
